The Making of Nammos Dubai

We take a look at how Nammos Dubai translated the spirit of Mykonos at its outpost at the Four Seasons Resort at Jumeirah Beach

The original Nammos, born on the shores of Mykonos in the early 2000s, had long defined a particular register of Mediterranean luxury – unhurried, sun-drenched, and effortlessly considered. Bringing that vision to Dubai was never going to be a straightforward transplant. It required a team that understood not just how to build, but how to translate it to life.

Designed by Elastica Architects and backed by ADMO Lifestyle Holding, the Dubai venue occupies a sprawling beachfront site that spans restaurant, bar, terrace, pool and beach. The design draws directly from Cycladic architecture’s whitewashed forms, organic curves, and natural textures. The space that feels borrowed from the Aegean but rooted firmly in Dubai, with the turquoise marble that has become the brand’s visual signature running throughout as both anchor and identity.

The concept was developed with a clear brief: to create a three-stage experiential journey from arrival through to the waterfront. Guests enter through a lush, landscaped approach before moving through a bar zone and into the main dining room, which opens onto an expanded terrace and beach. The flow is deliberate, with each zone distinct in atmosphere but cohesive in material language.

Finasi, a UAE-based fit-out and joinery company with deep Italian roots delivered the full fitout scope that included marble flooring, bespoke joinery, custom furniture, landscaping and pool. The marble work is among the project’s most technically demanding elements. Laid as a mosaic of creamy beige, soft green and cloudy white, the multi-toned surfaces shift across the space in curves and transitions that read as pattern rather than construction. This feat was achieved with a team of 100 of the company’s team members on site; simultaneously across all trades at peak, with fabrication handled at the company’s fully owned 64,000 sq. ft. facility in Dubai.  “Luxury is not just in the material but in the craft of how it’s applied,” says Hisham Sultan, Partner and Business Development Manager at Finasi. “Even the most premium finishes can fall short without the right craftsmanship behind them. Our role is to ensure every joint, every piece, feels intentional,” he shares.

The proof is in the overall execution. Ultimately, Nammos Dubai succeeds because it avoids imitation. Instead, it distils the ease and escapism of Mykonos through a distinctly Dubai lens. In doing so, the project reflects a wider shift within the region’s design industry: a fine example of the ability to execute hospitality spaces at an international level without compromising on detail, identity, or ambition.
