Their colourful DXBDW installation showcases their new home collection.
Live courageously – and with heart. Perhaps this the very timely message Hermès’ bold new Dubai Design Week installation, Hermès Species of Spaces. Created by Charlotte Macaux Perelman and Alexis Fabry, its architectural shapes and joyful geometric forms are juxtaposed with the scale of the French Maison’s new home collection. Furniture, lighting, objects, textiles, fabrics, wallpaper and tableware create a landscape of colourful, vivacious living. Details such as saddle-stitching, burnishing and embroidery illuminate the deluxe materiality of leather, lacquer and even paper. Designed to give each object it’s own voice and time, this exhibition reveals the complex temporality of the art of display.
