MMAC will design interiors of two mega hotel projects.
Dubai-based MMAC Design Associates, a boutique agency that specializes in upmarket hotel and restaurant design, has been appointed the interior designer for two large, multiple brand hotel projects in Saudi Arabia.
The first project will be a luxurious five-star Kempinski Hotel and four-star Embassy by Hilton and adjoining Residential Tower in Makkah. “Our design will be appreciated by visitors from every corner of the globe, as they visit the holy city,” said Managing Director of MMAC, Christian Merieau. “Projects of this scale and in such prestigious location don’t come up very often, so naturally we are thrilled to be involved in helping create history.”
The second project includes designing the interiors of three Starwood properties within the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh consisting of a five-star Westin Hotel, Westin -branded residences and a three-star Element by Westin Hotel. This hotel project by Spanish architects TYPSA for Al Akaria Saudi Real Estate Company focusses on the wellness of those who will live and work within this project. “Our concept is based on the principles of Bophilic design – a theme that is ingrained in the Westin brand,” commented Anil Mangalat, Design Director of MMAC.
