Kokai Studios’ sky high elemental design for Aura Skypool has quite a view
Set 200 metres up on The Palm Tower, AURA SKYPOOL is now the world’s first and highest 360-degree infinity pool boasting extravagant views of the Dubai coast and the open waters. Opened in November 2021, Aura is created by Sunset Hospitality, and designed with Kokai Studios.
Their main attraction remains the infinity pool, which is complimented by a 750-square-metre infinity Pool Deck, complete with sunbeds and lounges and a endless blue waters and blue skies vistas.
Of Aura Skypool, Antonio Gonzales, CEO of Sunset Hospitality says, some of the world’s most iconic sights, from the man-made Palm Jumeirah (celebrating this year 20 years since its construction) through to Burj Al Arab, Burj Khalifa and Ain Dubai – all in one view, it’s a breathtaking new destination that will continue to showcase the very best of Dubai.”
The space, created in collaboration with Kokai Studios, seeks inspiration from the elements, drawing air, water and wind blending seamlessly with the clouds. Stone and concrete accents mixing with natural materials create a modern effortless atmosphere engulfed in natural light, with tall open windows.
The two-floor space features the wrap around 360 degree infinity pool, with the bar and the lounge on the first floor. The second floor houses the changing facilities, designed with the inspiration from being in a cave located beneath the ocean.
