The global leader in luxury rug design expands to the Middle East at its new flagship opening in Jumeirah this October
The Rug Company, renowned globally for its luxury rug designs, proudly announces its expansion to the Middle East with the opening of The Rug Company Bungalow in Jumeirah, Dubai. Launching this October, the new space promises not only to showcase the brand’s iconic rugs but also to serve as a vibrant hub for exclusive events, including talks with esteemed collaborators, art installations, collection launch parties, and VIP dinners. The brand will showcase its iconic rugs while also serving as a vibrant hub for exclusive events, including talks with esteemed collaborators, art installations, collection launch parties, and VIP dinners. These gatherings will feature collaborations with visionary talents such as Alexander McQueen, Mary Katrantzou, Kelly Wearstler, and Diane von Furstenberg.

Located on Al Wasl Road in the Jumeirah neighbourhood, The Rug Company Bungalow is part of HUNA, a leading premium real estate developer under A.R.M. Holding. Designed by Styled Habitat, the Bungalow celebrates the iconic mid-century villas first introduced to the area in the 1980s, embracing a warm and earthy aesthetic reminiscent of old-school Palm Springs glamour.
Noteworthy features of the Bungalow include a sunken conversation pit, a whimsical accessories room reminiscent of a walk-in wardrobe, and large, arched windows that charmingly highlight the rugs. “We wanted visitors to feel at home, as if the Bungalow had always been there and they’ve only just discovered it now,” says Rabah Saeid, Founder of Styled Habitat.
A visual balm for any visitor, the ‘Garden of Enchantment’ will encircle the Bungalow with wild and meandering pathways. Dotted with sculptural plants evocative of Moroccan gardens, these paths will lead guests to intimate courtyards ideal for socialising during non-stop design weeks.

James Seuss, CEO of The Rug Company, expressed his excitement: “The Middle East has consistently embraced and supported The Rug Company through our retail partners. We are thrilled to deepen our commitment to this region by unveiling a destination that sets a new global standard for our company. This is an incredibly exciting chapter in our journey.”
Kate Judd, the newly appointed Managing Director for the Middle East, added, “The Rug Company Bungalow is poised to surprise many of our long-time admirers. As we enter the Middle East market, I’m delighted to bring our rich heritage to a truly dynamic and swiftly evolving design landscape while collaborating with the local talent driving its transformation.”
Besides its immaculate aesthetic, The Rug Company Bungalow will offer a vast array of handmade rugs crafted by skilled artisans in Nepal. Since 1997, the global brand has dedicated itself to ensuring that each rug is a work of art and a testament to expert craftsmanship honed over generations. Catering to private residences, hospitality, yachting, aviation, and corporate spaces, The Rug Company will also provide a complete custom and bespoke service for the Middle East market.
