A thought-provoking format will explore difficult environmental issues.
Designs for Terra, Sustainability Pavilion, Expo 2020, Dubai were appropriately unveiled on Earth Day. The architecture of the pavilion pushes the boundaries of sustainable design and cutting-edge technologies as it tells an enchanting, interactive story that highlights the often-negative relationship between nature and humans. Embodying the Exo 2020 message of ‘Welcome the Future,’ the space will also present possible solutions to these disturbing challenges and issues.
The experience will be “…stirring and at times emotional experience as visitors come face-to-face with the significance of their individual choices,” according to John Bull, Sustainability Pavilion Director. The goal is that people will emerge with a new perspective that inspires action for a better future.
The pavilion design meets LEED Platinum green building standards and will utilize the latest sustainable technologies for the se and reuse of energy and water. All food and beverage at Terra will be sustainably sourced and packaged, limiting adverse environmental impact.
Expo 2020 Dubai is expected to welcome millions of visitors, most from outside the UAE, between October 20, 2020 and April 10, 2021.
