A Bold Fusion

Step into Revolver designed by Yasmine Farahmandy of Y Design Interior.

Revolver YDesign

Edgy and dramatic, from the moment you step in Revolver, you can’t help but admire its boldness, from the food to the interiors. Located at the Opus in Business Bay, Dubai, the restaurant has been designed by Yasmine Farahmandy of Y Design Interior. Deep charcoal and black hues dominate the walls, setting the stage for a moody, and intimate dining experience. The lighting is deliberately low, with strategically placed spotlights and industrial-style fixtures casting a warm and seductive glow. The interplay of light and shadow creates a layered atmosphere, one that feels exclusive and almost theatrical.

At the centre of the space, is a ‘bullet belt’ that anchors the space. “The Bullet Belt we designed was inspired by the brand’s name and core concept. Their identity leans heavily into the “bullet” theme—even incorporating bullet names into their menus when introducing dishes—which ties directly into the revolver-inspired branding.” shares Farahmandy. “The brief we received emphasised a dark, sensual, and edgy aesthetic, which we embraced through a design that is minimal in form yet bold in texture. The result is a piece that feels both restrained and powerful, echoing the brand’s unique atmosphere. We customised each bullet with an oxidised copper finish and mounted them onto a leather belt that holds the entire sculpture together. This combination not only adds a rich, tactile quality but also echoes the space’s interior elements—particularly the hammered metal ceiling. The piece is designed to guide guests on a visual journey, from the moment they arrive all the way to the dramatic, theatrical fire-show kitchen.”

Adding warmth to the dramatic colour palette is the extensive use of copper. Oxidised copper surfaces feature prominently on the back wall of the bar, the show kitchen, columns, and furniture accents—introduce a dynamic contrast. The metal’s reflective quality catches and plays with the ambient lighting, infusing the space with an understated opulence amidst the industrial vibe.

The furniture selection further reinforces Revolver’s raw meets sophisticated aesthetic. A blend of modern industrial and vintage influences comes to life through rough-hewn wood, distressed leather seating, and polished metal details. Exposed pipes and unfinished textures contribute to the edgy, urban feel, while handpicked artwork and intricate decorative elements soften the space, offering artistic depth and unexpected moments of refinement.

Private dining room

A striking departure from the restaurant’s dark, moody palette, the All-Green Private Dining Room is a hidden gem—an immersive, colour-saturated space that feels both luxurious and unexpected. Stepping into the room is like entering a secret sanctuary, where deep green tones envelop guests in an atmosphere of vibrancy and intrigue. Silky, panoramic green wallpaper wraps the walls, creating a lush backdrop with intricate patterns that add visual rhythm and depth. Below, a plush green carpet reinforces the sense of warmth and exclusivity, complementing the rich textures of the space. At the heart of the room stands a statement organic green marble table, its bold veining in shades of green and gold instantly drawing attention. The polished surface reflects ambient light, amplifying the room’s dramatic elegance and serving as both a functional and artistic focal point.

Adding an element of exclusivity, a custom-designed wine cellar is seamlessly integrated into the space. Featuring sleek, modern shelving and subtle backlighting, it showcases a meticulously curated wine selection, inviting guests to indulge in a bespoke dining and tasting experience. The cellar’s gentle illumination enhances the room’s sophisticated ambiance, making it an unforgettable destination for private gatherings.

Revolver restaurant’s design is as much a part of the experience as its cuisine. Every material, texture, and lighting element has been thoughtfully chosen to create an environment that is both rebellious and refined.
