Design Take: Inside the Royal Suite at Jumeirah Al Naseem

With sweeping views of the ocean and Burj Al Arab, this two bedroom royal suite offers a lush stay.

As you head past the lobby and to the elevators that lead to the Royal Suite, you are welcomed by striking artworks that tell Dubai’s story from galloping horses to royal calligraphy. Emirati artist Mattar Bin Lahej was commissioned to create four signature installations for the hotel, including the stainless-steel sculpture of a camel caravan that appears to glide across water at the entrance. He is also the artist behind the iconic calligraphic façade of the Museum of the Future. This sets the precursor for the experience that is about to unfold. South Africa-based architecture firm Northpoint collaborated with designers from Woods Bagot’s Dubai studio on the build and development of the resort, while celebrated architect and landscape designer, Bill Bensley designed the lush gardens and landscaping.

As you enter the royal suite, a sense of awe sets in immediately. Think lavish grandeur with rich tones of blue, gold and red with Arabesque touches as soon as you enter through to the main living area. The interiors are characterised by traditional patterns and rich furnishings, with mashrabiya screens serving as a prominent design element.

Two separate entrances flow into a central living room furnished for both elegance and ease, inviting a setting for relaxed social gatherings or intimate family moments.  Beautiful artisanal tables with marquetry lie near the bookcase filled with notable coffee table books. Overhead, a burnished gold chandelier hangs. And ahead, all you can see is a sea of blue and the Burj Al Arab. The living space also feature a study. The adjoining dining area with seating for twelve, is perfectly suited for formal dinners or casual meals served directly from the suite’s private kitchen. Just beyond, a vast outdoor terrace and dedicated dining patio offer uninterrupted views of the resort, the gardens and sea views.

Inside the Royal Suite, you have two bedroom sanctuaries designed each feature their own dressing rooms, private balconies, and widescreen interactive HD LED TVs. Every detail from the plush furnishings to panoramic views has been curated to create a residential experience. Two generously bathrooms host spa-like soaking tubs and luxury amenities offer a peaceful sanctuary to refresh and revive. For moments of leisure and indulgence, guests can retreat into the suite’s private cinema, outfitted for immersive viewing. Fitness routines are easily maintained in the in-suite gym armed with Technogym equipment.

Guests of the Royal Suite enjoy a host of exclusive privileges. A dedicated butler is on hand to anticipate every need, ensuring a seamless and memorable stay. Access to the Orchid Lounge is included, where guests can enjoy a complimentary daily breakfast, signature afternoon tea, and evening sundowners in an elegant setting. For those aged twelve and above, exclusive entry to the sophisticated Summersalt Beach Club offers a chance to unwind by the sea in complete privacy. Round-trip transfers to and from Dubai International Airport are also included, adding to the effortless nature of the experience. Throughout the suite, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi ensures connectivity, while premium bathroom products and personalised amenities elevate every moment.
