Astratto by Draga & Aurel
The Astratto rug, designed for Illulian by Draga & Aurel, is an abstract four-piece series with irregular geometries that can be arranged and deconstructed to suit personal taste. Inspired by Aurel K. Basedow’s artwork ‘AKB_23_81’, the rug reflects its vibrant colours, bold strokes and layered textures. Created using mixed media techniques like photography, oil paints, resin, acrylic and spray paint, the design showcases Aurel’s fascination with textiles, adding depth and a three-dimensional quality to his creative process.
