Tod’s Studios to open in Italy’s design capital
Concept boutique in Milan is the sub-brand’s third space.
Following the launch of Tod’s Apartment in London and Tod’s Library in Manhattan, New York, Tod’s Boutique has announced its new ‘concept boutique’: Tod’s Studios in Milan.
The sub-brand of Tod’s says the boutique on Via Montenapoleone has been inspired by “film studios and their constantly developing storylines and sets”. As well as continuously evolving, the space will host exhibitions, events and sneak previews of forthcoming collections, and will display exclusive limited-edition products and one-off pieces. A bespoke service will allow visitors to create their own unique accessories, hand-crafted by skilled artisans.
Described as “the heart and soul of Tod’s Studios”, a semi-circular ‘pop-up’ area houses huge video screens, creating an amphitheatre that will host capsule collection presentations, guided activities and previews of key themes for upcoming seasons.
Tod’s Studio is also home to a sculpture and paper-based artworks by Kris Ruhs; artistic contributions will change to complement future collections, collaborations and special projects.
Guests will be greeted by ballet dancers from the world-renowned Teatro alla Scala, while a private lounge will be made available to customers who wish to shop in seclusion and luxury.
