Australian Tom Fereday is the winner of the Creative Call Out sponsored by Lane Crawford, Asia’s iconic luxury department store. His global furniture collection will debut as part of an installation by Asia’s design brand Stellar Works at the upcoming Milan Design Week

The Creative Call Out is Lane Crawford’s commitment to identify and nurture the best emerging talents across the globe. As the winner, Tom Fereday has been awarded an 18-month partnership and investment for the global exclusive collection development, as well as access to Lane Crawford’s retail platform, mentorship and development from its team of retail specialists.

The collection, comprised of a lounge chair, bed, tables and dining chair, was developed on the principle of honest design that celebrates Asian sensibilities but reinterprets them for an international audience. Fereday uses materials and environment as a positive design constraint to guide his intelligent and thoughtful design outcomes which connect with people through natural materials, tactile finishes and unique design.

“I strive to create enduring designs which are meaningful to people and our environment,” said Fereday of this ethos.

It also represents a fusion of cultures that celebrates the growing design movement in Asia Pacific.
