Understated Luxury Meets Urban Heritage at the Hari Kong Kong
Situated in the lively, bustling district of Wan Chai; The Hari Hong Kong embraces the vibrant style, rich colour and cultural heritage of the surrounding community. Designed by the celebrated British interior architectural studio Tara Bernerd & Partners, the hotel’s interior pulses with the vibrancy, texture, and cultural character of its surroundings. With 210 thoughtfully crafted guestrooms, two distinctive restaurants, a terrace bar, fitness centre, and welcoming lounge, the hotel was conceived as “the neighbourhood’s living room”—an inviting place where guests feel immediately at home.
Walking into the Hari, you’re met with mid-century lounge chairs and modernist coffee tables, swathed in rich colour palettes and tactile textiles. Towering bookshelves filled with art and culture anchor the space, creating a seamless blend of elevated comfort and visual inspiration. This same attention to detail and emotional resonance carries through to the culinary offerings: Lucciola, a refined take on Italian dining, and Zoku, an energetic Japanese eatery with origami-inspired ceilings and a curated sake selection.
The hotel’s signature Hari Suite keeps with this theme of refined homeliness, serving sweeping views over Victoria Harbour alongside interiors of banquette sofas, sophisticated wooden trimmings and—naturally—an ensemble of AXOR fixtures. An elegant single-lever AXOR Citterio kitchen faucet by the bar sets the mood, shining exquisitely beside a polished choice of spirits in a brushed nickel finish.
With its deceptively simple layout, subtle arabesque marble tiling and sun-drenched vistas, the Hari Suite’s bathroom makes the perfect setting for a sophisticated interplay of AXOR designs in brilliant brushed bronze. At the washbasin, Tara Bernerd & Partners selected the refined urban chic of AXOR Citterio M in the form of a 3-hole faucet with lever handles. A floor-standing AXOR Urquiola thermostat makes a splash by the bath with its monolithic shape and expressive flourishes
For the shower, Tara Bernerd & Partners curated a luxurious walk-in arrangement combining an archetypal AXOR Uno 3jet hand-held shower with a sleek thermostat and generous overhead shower from the AXOR ShowerSolutions program. A host of complementary softsquare AXOR Universal Accessories in matching Brushed Bronze round out the space, extending outstanding utility and radiant colour to every corner of the bathroom.
A certified silver LEED and BEAM Plus hotel, the Hari Hong Kong prides itself on its mission towards sustainability—an imperative supported by its eco-conscious construction, resource-efficient operation and choice of AXOR in the bathroom. With its remarkable design, luxurious operation and reduced flow rate, each AXOR fixture in the Hari Hong Kong reflects the hotel’s unique commitment to style, comfort and sustainability. Sourced from a variety of collections, yet harmonious altogether, these fixtures represent the vibrant hospitality, remarkable diversity and planet-positive attitude of the Hari—and Hong Kong—itself.
