Explore the Downtown Design pavilion for 'Made in Italy'.
Dubai’s love for ‘Made in Italy’ design has never been greater. With the city constantly looking for the most cutting-edge, innovative and captivating designs for its expanding skyline, the regional spin on the legacies of revered Italian architects, designers and engineers can be seen on every corner. Given this celebration of Italian style, it’s no wonder that this year’s Italian Interiors pavilion has been one of Downtown Design’s biggest draws.
For this 8th edition, an elegant, purpose-built pavilion completely dedicated to design manufacturers will house up to 20 high-quality select brands across multiple sectors from furniture and lighting, to textiles (including their Ceramics exhibition held yesterday) and mosaics, all of which demonstrate the flair of craftsmanship behind the ‘Made in Italy’ marque.
And note: on this final day of Downtown Design they will be hosting a keynote talk as part of the 4th edition of Design Export Lab. Entitled “Culture, Community and Collaboration: the Architecture of Happiness”. It features a prestigious line up including master architects Mario Cucinella and Aldo Parisotto, who explain how authenticity, social focus and humanity are crucial to building successful communities.
