id50 2025- Olga Melnikova

Meet Olga Melnikova, Founder of OL Interior

Can you let us know about the latest exciting projects that you are working on?

One of the most interesting projects I worked on was the 5B apartment with bold customers. The interior design was made in calm beige tones, but with textured art objects, we made custom paintings and large plaster steles. We integrated fur chairs handmade in France, a Courbes Alléchantes floor lamp by Axel Chay and many other fantastic pieces of furniture into the interiors. The result was a fantastic, bold home with exclusive furniture, decor and lighting.

Please mention some of your proudest achievements

Of course, the first is my family and my 2 sons. Achievements in the field of design include reviews and gratitude from my customers. I am often brought to tears with the understanding that my work gives people visual happiness and comfort. Thirdly, my community and the power to create Russian Design Firm in the UAE for Russian-speaking designers, architects and related suppliers.

Can you talk about a type of project that you would like to take on in 2025 (perhaps a dream project that you would like to manifest)?

My goal is to realise several significant projects in my life. Of course, this requires bold clients!

OLGA MELNIKOVA

How would you describe your ‘house style’?

Our house style focuses on design harmony. I prefer neutral warm shades in the interiors and dilute them neatly with colours to accentuate the space such as chairs, art or decor.

As this is the power issue, what empowers you and your team?

I am empowered by the confidence of my purpose in the world. I make this world a little more beautiful by implementing hundreds of projects around the world. My team feels involved in this. The team is also empowered by our clients who are grateful and appreciate our work.
