id Design Awards 2019 Juror: Teresa Sapey

Vanguard design colors functionalism in her international projects.

Teresa Sapey epitomizes the international flavour of the 2019 id Design Awards jury.  An Italian who also studied in Paris, her studio Teresa Sapey Architecture, is headquartered in Madrid, Spain, where she combines teaching with her professional career.

Specializing in vanguard design, she injects energy into spaces, whether it is a shop, restaurant, car park, hotel or public space. Her objective is to project the users’ emotions with humour, colour and harmony. At first her designs, both spaces and products may appear abstract, but by blending creativity, functionalism, art and design, they communicate their ideas with subtlety and clarity.
