Pininfarina wins international award for Brazilian tower.
The prestigious International Architecture Award for 2019 has been presented to the Cyrela, a residential tower in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Pininfarina, the renowned Italian luxury firm’s outstanding design surpassed a record number of entries from some of the world’s most respected architects.
“This project has helped to reimagine the future of Sao Paulo’s real estate market, and it is great to have this mission recognized by the jury,” stated Paolo Pininfarina, Chairman of the Pininfarina Group. He has also served as a jury member for the id Design Awards presented each autumn.
Known for their design excellence in the fields of transportation design, industrial design, architecture and interiors and automotive design, Pininfarina incorporated aspects of its signature style in the Cyrela. The curving façade of the tower conveys the dynamic evolution of this growing metropolis
Located in an exclusive commercial area, the Cyrela is the architecture group’s first residential architecture project in Latin America. It was created in partnership with Brazilian real estate company Cyrela. The two entities are partnering on a second exclusive venture, Heritage, in Sao Paul, Brazil, which is due for completion in 2020.
