The award-winning New Spring installation by Studio Swine will be making its China premiere.
This 22-28 October, the London-based fashion brand COS will bring the celebrated installation New Spring by Studio Swine to Shanghai.
This will mark the third global iteration of the blossoming sculpture which debuted at Milan ’s Salone del Mobile in April 2017.
The installation will be brought to life in a new setting, inside a historical building located in central Shanghai. Studio Swine is an artistic collaboration between Japanese Architect Azusa Murakami and British Artist Alexander Groves.
Studio Swine comments: “We are really delighted to be working with COS again, Shanghai is a very special place for us so it’s particularly exciting to bring New Spring to this city for its debut in Asia.”
New Spring is designed around a focal sculpture that emits mist-filled blossoms that burst and evaporate when they touch skin but survive in contact with textured fabrics, allowing visitors the chance to interact with the installation.
