Since design is, by definition, an interdisciplinary endeavor, we were thrilled to the new Hungry Beast Cafe, a new branding project by SAVVY inspired by American conceptual artist John Baldessari. Located in Mexico City, the team was inspired by Baldessari’s Connecting Dots and Gemini Series. This abstract impersonal style was applied to the packaging through the use of bold color swatches and line work. “It’s not design for design’s sake,” said designer Rafael Prieto of SAVVY. “There is always a concept.”
