Tashkeel’s Tanween Design Programme returns for its eleventh edition at Dubai Design Week 2024, featuring its largest cohort to date. This year, the programme will showcase the innovative works of selected emerging UAE-based designers, celebrating their talent and creativity.

Founded in 2008 by Sheikha Lateefa bint Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Tashkeel is one of the UAE’s most significant cultural incubators for art and design, renowned for its commitment to sustainable design methods and nurturing local talent. The Tanween Design Programme not only fosters creativity but also highlights the transformative journey participants undergo.

This year’s cohort was chosen for their unique perspectives and creative methodologies. By encouraging designers to explore sustainability concepts, the programme ensures that their works are both aesthetically striking and environmentally responsible, positioning these designers to influence the future of design in the UAE and the broader MENA region. Each piece reflects the diversity of Emirati design, telling a story of creativity, cultural significance, and eco-friendly materials.

The 2024 participants include Majid Al Bastaki, Khadija Al Mazimi, Rimsha Kidwai, Amna Bin Bishr, Dania Ajlan, Duna Ajlan, Mohammad Samara, Khaled Al Shaer, and Osama Rashad.
