Designing Wellness in Riyadh

Technogym Riyadh debuts with the Sand Stone Collection

When Technogym opened its new space in Riyadh, the event went beyond the inauguration of a location and became a statement on how wellness spaces could be designed, experienced, and lived. Situated in the Saudi capital and housing both the Technogym Saudi Arabia headquarters and the Technogym Boutique, the new venue was conceived as a carefully curated environment where architecture, interior design, and performance-oriented technology were seamlessly integrated. Rather than functioning as a conventional showroom, the space invited visitors to move through a sequence of settings that expressed Technogym’s approach to wellness through materials, proportions, and spatial flow.

Design played a central role in shaping the Technogym Experience. Advanced biomechanics and digital training systems were embedded within interiors defined by balance, clarity, and material consistency. The space encouraged interaction and discovery, offering areas dedicated not only to training but also to conversation around health, sports science, and preventive medicine, reinforcing the idea of wellness as a cultural and spatial experience.

The opening also marked the debut of the Sand Stone Collection, a new aesthetic language developed to elevate high-end wellness environments through a strong connection to nature. Inspired by Mediterranean sandstone, the collection introduced warm, neutral tones and tactile finishes that softened the technical character of fitness equipment. Sand Stone was conceived as a cross-cutting design system, capable of creating cohesive, wall-to-wall wellness spaces across cardio, strength, and functional training, uniting Technogym Checkup, Artis lines, Biostrength, Personal Tools, and Technogym Reform within a single visual identity.

Material innovation became a defining element of the collection. Speckled Stone casings incorporated natural mica and recycled content to evoke the texture of real stone, while Warm Titanium finishes expressed a refined balance between luxury and technology. Clay tactile surfaces in vegan leather enhanced comfort and sensory interaction, complemented by accents of beech and ash wood that introduced an organic, human dimension. Together, these elements formed a welcoming and sophisticated design language that reduced intimidation and encouraged engagement.

Through the simultaneous opening of Technogym Riyadh and the launch of Sand Stone, Technogym presented a vision of wellness design in which architecture, materials, and performance converged, transforming fitness spaces into refined environments where training, wellbeing, and design existed in harmony.
