Changing Societies at Louvre Abu Dhabi

New season of exhibitions offers diversity.

Louvre Abu Dhabi has announced a diverse lineup for the 2019/20 season. With the theme of Changing Societies, the four major exhibitions will explore how the arts have channeled and reflected society throughout history. Beginning in September, these especially curated events will be showcased alongside the museums’ permanent collection.

The new season will begin with the exhibition Rendezvous in Paris: Picasso, Chagall, Modigliani & Co., which will be on display from September 18 to December 7, 2019.

Beginning on October 30, 2019 and running until February 15, 2020 will be another ground-breaking exhibition, 10,000 Years of Luxury.

Furusiyya: The Art of Chivalry between East and West will follow from February 19, 2020 through May 30, 2020.

The last of the major exhibitions for the season will explore the connection between art and film with Charlie Chaplin: When Art Met Cinema (April 15, 2020 – July 11, 2020).
