Dubai Design District Celebrates the Art Season

D3 is launching a diverse program of exhibitions.

As part of the 2019 Art Season, the Dubai Design District (d3) is celebrating with an exciting, but varied, line up of events that spotlight regional and international artists.

According to Khadija Al Bastaki, d3’s Executive Director, “Our participation reiterates our commitment to supporting events that celebrate creativity and shine the spotlight on local and international talent whilst reinforcing the UAE’s quintessential cultural canvas.”

UAE’s Ethnic Memory

The UAE’s Ethnic Memory exhibition focuses on the 1960s and 1970s, a transformational era in the country’s rich culture, heritage and history.

Belonging

The Belonging exhibition presents works by Palestinian artists from Al Dakhel across generations. Bernardo Rosendo and other important artists from Mexico will also be on display.

Marchigue Vases by Stefano Pugliese

Following its Paris debut, 1000 Vases examines the vase as a functional, everyday object.

Other highlights include a new Swarovski exhibition and a panel on the future of technology on design.
