Sothebys Dubai is bringing together exceptional worldwide highlights from their international auction calendar spanning the forthcoming season.
This autumn’s exhibition in Sotheby’s Dubai galleries will play host to magnificent jewellery from one of Europe’s most important royal dynasties and the very best of what vintage and modern horology has to offer, alongside masterpieces of classical Islamic art and captivating artworks by leading Arab painters. Viewed as a whole, the diverse exhibition speaks to the universal nature and timeless appeal of great works of art.
Highlights include one of the most important royal jewellery collections that has ever to come to auction, led by a breath-taking group of magnificent jewels which once belonged to Queen Marie Antoinette.
It also includes modern and contemporary masterpieces from the Middle East with works by Mahmoud Sabri, Monir Farmanfarmaian, Fahrelnissa Zeid and Shafic Abboud.
Important watches by prestigious makers including Rolex, Patek Philippe & Richard Mille will also be exhibited, as well as rare, historical objects, jewellery and manuscripts from the Islamic World featuring exquisite Iznik pottery and more.
