Art Dubai announces postponement of 2020 art fair

New Dubai-focused programme will run instead on same dates in late March.

This year’s edition of Art Dubai has been postponed. The decision has been made in light of the Coronavirus situation. The 14th edition of the international art fair was originally scheduled to take place from 25 to 28 March.

Art Dubai will instead stage a programme tailored to the local cultural community. It will include existing fair programme contributors and thought-leaders. The organisers say this reflects the essential role the fair plays in promoting local and regional artists.

The new format is planned to run on the same dates (25-28 March) and will present events, exhibitions, talks and strands of the existing Art Dubai programme. These will include local and regional gallery presentations, Global Art Forum, Residents and Campus Art Dubai.

Art Dubai says the goals and ambitions for this re-configured programme maintain its “objective to deliver commercial, institutional and critical engagement with Dubai’s art ecosystem”.

Further details of the programme will follow.
