Hosting 90 galleries from 38 countries, the fair will run in late March at Madinat Jumeirah.
Leading Middle East international art fair Art Dubai will return for its 14th edition next month, with some 90 galleries from 38 countries being featured across four gallery sections.
The fair will again focus on providing a major international meeting point of ideas, bringing together exciting new global perspectives from sometimes-overlooked geographies.
Taking place from 25 to 28 March at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, the fair has been put together by seven guest curators.
They include Art Dubai Commissions curator Nataša Petrešin-Bachelez, who is working with four artists to create unique installations at the event, with some of them having a month-long continuum pre-fair. ‘Residents’ curator Kabelo Malatise, who is based in Johannesburg, will be working with artists from the African Continent to lead visitors through an exploratory experience of artwork created specifically for the fair.

‘Bawwaba’, meaning ‘gateway’ in Arabic, is being curated by Bombay-based curator Nancy Adajania, and will showcase solo presentations by artists from, based in, and/or focused on projects about the Middle East, Africa, Central, South and Southeast Asia and Latin America.
‘Modern’ is the largest edition to date. Curated by Sam Bardaouil and Till Fellrath, it will showcase solo presentations of ‘modern masters’ from across the MENASA region who are often overlooked in the western canon.

‘Contemporary’ features a selection of 55 galleries that align with the fair’s focus on expanding conversations beyond traditional art production centres. This edition features a divergent line-up of exhibitors, including the return of prominent galleries from the region.
Art Dubai’s Artistic Director, Pablo del Val, said: “Through the selected participating galleries in the 14th edition of the fair, we are exploring and unearthing energies from the Global South and providing new readings on what is happening in the art world, from the established to the emerging. The outstanding work of the selected curators in the 2020 edition has bolstered the narrative of Art Dubai, allowing visitors to discover and discuss unique perspectives on art and culture.”
