Fantini Mosaici exhibition opens to public at Archiade Atelier in d3

The private evening event will show latest collection and include a live mosaic creation.

Opening tonight at Archiade Atelier in Dubai Design District (d3), the latest Fantini Mosaici exhibition will run until 19 February.

The evening opening event will be attended only by invited architects, designers and clients, and will be hosted by the Fantini Mosaici and Archiade Atelier design departments. A mosaic artisan will demonstrate live the intricate and delicate process that creating a mosaic involves.

Until February 19, the exhibition will be open to members of the public and students, who will be able to see the latest collection of mosaic panels from one of Italy’s finest producers of hand-made mosaics.

The mosaics will be shown alongside other examples fine Italian hand-made Venetian mirrors, chandeliers, furniture and accessories from the Archiade Atelier collection.

Curated by the brand’s design studio in Abu Dhabi, the collection seeks to capture the essence of the company’s expertise, its creativity and the versatility of its creations.

Best known in the UAE for its elaborate mosaic work at the iconic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi, Milan-based Fantini Mosaici creates unique mosaics for some of the most luxurious residences, boutiques and hotels across the globe.

Most recently the company completed the stunning Sheikh Khalifa Al Nahyan or Al Ain Grand Mosque that features an 86-metre-diameter dome that covers around 7000 square metres. With a circumference of more than 260 metres, it is claimed to be the largest dome in the world and is clad with more than 40 million pieces of artistic mosaic.

Enrico Fantin, whose family started Fantini Mosaici some 100 years ago, remains at the helm of the firm that today collaborates with some of the world’s most prominent architects and interior designers.
