With over 240 companies and professionals taking part and almost 50 spaces designed, this edition was its best one yet. Settings changed rapidly, from restaurants to hotel lobbies, living rooms to listening rooms, and terraces to experimental vitrines. The spirit of collaboration between local studios and brands across the spaces exhibited a true sense of community, and the versatility of difference materials were appreciated in its thought-provoking applications. Some of the trends we observed included the emergence of volcanic and mineral tones in interiors, textured wallpapers, the use of raw construction material, the presence of clay in different capabilities, and recycled materials such as plastic, wood, cork, and textiles. Here were the most interesting exhibits:

Arcos’ Threshold Vestibule by Studio Lucas and Hernandez-Gil 

Cutlery brand Arcos team had their pieces embodied in two vertical totems that were created out of leftover metal dies from the Arcos knife manufacturing process. The exhibit used colour as a structural tool and geometry as a language. 

Sixtypro’s Savia kitchen 

This exhibit featured natural root wood as a protagonist with terracotta-toned lacquers. Copper details introduce warmth and reflections that evoke the hearth of the kitchen and the handcrafted metalwork. Countertops and technical elements are integrated with a contemporary aesthetic that prioritises visual continuity and fluid forms. 

Kaldewei Space’s Gentle Strength bathroom by ILV* Isabel López Vilalta

Kaldewei’s space included a truly innovative bathtub that warms up and offers chromotherapy as well as sound therapy through programming on your phone.

LAUFEN’s Sensory Balance public restrooms by Studio DIIR

Through the interplay of light, materials, and water, LAUFEN’s space exhibited a sense of calm. Constructive precision and material honesty generated a timeless environment where serenity, intimacy, and understated luxury coexisted in perfect harmony.

Demark Thailand’s Warmest Sun Loft by Trimode Studio

Bamboo, teak, rain tree wood, sustainable fabrics and metals were used in this exhibit organised through the Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce. The unique use of materials and craftsmanship really stood out, with our favourite pieces being the bar cabinet, partition  screens, and decorative lamps made of paper.

Neolith’s Library Hall Between Surfaces and Words by Personalk

The design reveals a different perspective on Neolith, showcasing its ability to harmonise with other materials. The space invited you in with warmth; filled with books, cherished objects, old photographs, and shared memories. 85% of the wall coverings and all of the furniture used in the space can be reused.

La Redoute’s Dressing Room La Loge de Josephine by Top Design Studio

Inspired by the world of Josephine Baker, this intimate space was intelligently styled. Curved volumes, a palette of burgundy and deep greens, natural wood and stone conversed with striking textiles against the furniture.

Cosentino’s Conceptual Space: Spring by Summumstudio

Manantial recreates an atmosphere inspired by the essence of Éclos, Cosentino’s latest product made of 95% recycled glass. Here, the material acquires life and purpose through applications that balance functionality and symbolism.

PH Collection’s Living-Dining Room La vie chez nous by S de Studio

Wood and textile coverings enveloped the space, combined with carpeting and geometric patterns that evoke the spirit of the 70s. Orange and green tones conversed with furniture in caramel woods, while stone and artistic ceramics added texture, character and a contemporary dimension to the whole.

Nuet Ceramics’ Naked Terrace 

Here, walls, floors, and spaces emerge from a single construction system. A longitudinal courtyard organised a series of pauses where the pieces constructed walls, floors, and atmosphere. Light and shadow transformed the material throughout the experience, culminating in a framed view of the Madrid skyline.

“The Bathhouse is a meditation on ritual, nature, and the quiet power of materials,” said Richard Christiansen, Founder of Flamingo Estate. “We imagined a place where wildflowers, water, and light come together to create a sensory experience that reconnects us to the rhythms of the earth.” Surrounding the bathhouse, four custom, one-of-a-kind pollinator baths offered respite and hydration to pollinator species drawn into the installation by the blossoming flowers. Handmade by skilled artisans in Kohler’s historic foundry, the pieces are cast in iron and then flame‑sprayed with raw copper before the edges are finished to reveal two unique expressions of copper.

“For the Flamingo Estate Bathhouse, we wanted to explore the relationship between architecture and ecology, how design can create moments of care not just for people, but for the natural world around us,” said Michael Seum, VP of Global Design at Kohler Co. “The pollinator baths translate this idea into sculptural form, drawing from Brutalist principles on the exterior while softening into organic, nature informed surfaces within. It’s a reflection of our belief that design should hold space for both human ritual and environmental stewardship.”

Structured as a progressive spatial journey, AXIS explores the intersection of material innovation, structural expression and sensory experience. Visitors move through a series of environments that transition from sculptural table landscapes to architectural applications and immersive rooms where light, sound and reflection shift the perception of surface and space.

Inside the AXIS Installation

Throughout this week, a programme called AXISTALKS, curated by Album, is taking place at the venue. The creative platform founded by the editors of Apartamento together with architect Paul Cournet brings together eight internationally renowned designers, among others Michael Anastassiades, Sabine Marcelis, Jaime Font and Enrica Cavarzan in conversations moderated by Cournet. The talks are aimed to provide a thoughtful platform for dialogue around design, materiality and contemporary practice.

What is AXIS?

AXIS is a table collection designed in collaboration with Cosentino and Tom Dixon. This collection has been unveiled for the first time in Milan. These pieces combine bold cross–leg geometries, precise engineering and the integration of advanced ĒCLOS® surfaces.

The structural development has been carried out in collaboration with ACTIU, which has translated Tom Dixon’s sculptural vision into an aluminium base of outstanding technical precision. Its design supports multiple configurations and guarantees stability, visual continuity and an impeccable industrial finish that reinforces the architectural character of the series.

New launch: ĒCLOS, the new in-layered mineral surface

The installation also introduces ĒCLOS, Cosentino’s new in-layered mineral surface developed with INLAYR technology—a layered design technology that, through advanced robotic engineering and integrated decoration techniques, creates a 3-D body integrated design. Unlike superficial designs, ĒCLOS achieves a level of depth, realism and tactile naturality that redefines the expressive possibilities of mineral surfaces. Its pioneering composition contains zero crystalline silica and incorporates more than 50% recycled materials, reaching almost 90% in some colours, while offering outstanding thermal performance with resistance up to 220 ºC. The result is a high-performance indoor surface that combines material innovation, sustainability and a distinctly architectural aesthetic.

Dekton series – Artik Nodes

Complementing this, the installation features Dekton Artik Nodes, part of Cosentino’s ultracompact Dekton surface series —an advanced material created through a high-tech sintering process that replicates the transformation of natural stone. Inspired by the shifting geometry of Arctic ice, Artik Nodes reinterprets its stonelike base into a distinctive structural language of irregular patterns that converge in subtle nodes. The result is a singular sense of visual depth: tones and textures that seem to emerge from within, creating a layered, 3-D effect where. Presented in Milano as a premiere of its first colours, Artik Nodes offers an initial glimpse into the expressive potential of the series.

Part of this creative evolution is working with Carlo Colombo, Creative Director and Partner of A++ Group. A leading figure in international design, Colombo has collaborated with some of the most influential brands in furniture, lighting, and luxury fashion. His approach, defined by formal rigour, proportion and meticulous attention to detail, introduces a new architectural sensibility to Dragons of Walton Street. This new collection stems from a dialogue between memory and structure straddled between emotion and construction. Bedrooms become the first personal universes, spaces where imagination meets architecture and where early aesthetic sensibilities are formed. “Childhood, to me, is the purest source of creativity. The spaces I grew up in, they taught me how emotions live inside architecture,” said Carlo Colombo. Each piece is conceived to inspire, accompany growth, and endure over time, becoming part of family memory in a harmonious balance between function, fantasy, and craftsmanship.

Guiding this strategic renewal is Lana Aviosor, owner of Dragons of Walton Street, an entrepreneur with extensive international experience in strategic consulting, private equity, and
global asset management. With a clear vision, Aviosor shapes the transformation of the brand into a coherent luxury universe where design, quality, and storytelling coexist naturally. Her
personal perspective as a mother informs a long-term vision focused on creating objects destined to be cherished and passed down. As commented by Aviosor, “We want to position Dragons as a luxury furniture and lifestyle brand by building a design-led universe for children and families, where high-quality design, emotion and imagination coexist naturally, and where timeless pieces are created to be handed down from one generation to the next.”

The presentation during Milan Design Week acts as a manifesto of this renewed identity: an exhibition in the heart of the Brera Design District, conceived to give tangible form to the encounter between imagination and architecture. The space is enriched by the textile collaboration with Vitale Barberis Canonico, which will also host the exhibition and events throughout the week. For more than 360 years, the historic wool mill has produced prestigious textiles entirely Made in Italy, combining heritage, innovation, and sustainability. This collaboration transforms the exhibition into a dialogue between material, fabric, and design, weaving craftsmanship and imagination into a unified narrative.

More than the launch of a collection, this moment represents the affirmation of a vision: to elevate children’s furniture to a fully-fledged language of contemporary design, recognising its symbolic depth and its role in shaping memory, creativity, and identity. The entire collection draws inspiration from the tradition of Dragons of Walton Street, in particular from its world of illustrations, reinterpreted through a three-dimensional approach. The characters have been transformed into true sculptures, designed to become a living part of children’s everyday surroundings. Most pieces feature organic forms defined by curved lines, ensuring the utmost comfort and safety for children.

Highlights of the collection include the Hippo Armchair, whose soft, rounded shapes transform a beloved plush into functional décor, while multiple chairs combine to create a modular sofa for versatile seating; the Dragon Sofa, with modular components and the brand’s iconic dragon mascot, offering both playful creativity and practical adaptability; the Little One Chair, bringing the elegance of contemporary adult seating into the world of children through harmonious shapes and gentle proportions and, lastly, the Twinkle Vanity, which features integrated lighting, hinged doors, and an illuminated mirror, that creates a refined and magical space for creative play. With this new chapter, Dragons of Walton Street embarks on an international journey that embraces new markets, guided by a simple yet powerful ambition: to inspire life’s most meaningful journey — childhood. The brand will soon open its first international showroom in Dubai this year.

Set in the Loggia of the Pinacoteca di Brera during Fuorisalone, American Express will present  “Serotonin – the chemistry of happiness” by Sara Ricciardi. The immersive installation will translate serotonin into a sensory environment of pulsing inflatable forms, exploring the link between beauty and emotion. Visitors will experience a rhythmic, breathing space that will reflect how design can shape feelings of joy and wellbeing in Milan.

When Apricots Blossom

Set within Palazzo Citterio during Fuorisalone, When Apricots Blossom is an immersive exhibition inspired by Uzbek poetry and centred on themes of resilience, heritage and renewal. Curated by Kulapat Yantrasast, it brings together installations, craft-based design and film to explore the cultural legacy of the Aral Sea region, highlighting how tradition and contemporary design intersect in Milan.

Nilufar Hotel

Nilufar Gallery will present a dual exhibition during Fuorisalone that explores collectible design through two distinct narratives. At the Depot, Nilufar Grand Hotel transforms hospitality into an immersive, fictional environment where rooms become scenographic installations shaped by designers including david/nicolas and Allegra Hicks. At the same time, La Casa Magica at Spiga reflects on the home as a symbolic, ritual space, positioning design as a tool for storytelling and cultural meaning in Milan.

Echoes of Memphis

Arte is to present a pop-up installation in Brera, reimagining wallcoverings as sculptural, expressive surfaces. Inspired by Memphis design and Ancient Egypt and created with Gabriela de Sagarminaga, the space highlights natural materials such as raffia, cork and shells, forming a monochrome environment where texture and craftsmanship define the experience in Milan.

Ooooh, that’s EpiQ!

At Palazzo del Senato, Škoda Auto will present “Ooooh, that’s EpiQ!” during Fuorisalone, transforming the historic courtyard into a playful, evolving landscape inspired by modelling dough. Developed with Ricardo Orts of Ulises Studio, the installation will blend physical and digital environments through an interactive dome, sculptural forms and activations exploring mobility, creativity and design culture in Milan.

Nokori

Giopato & Coombes to present a new installation at Giopato & Coombes Gallery, exploring light as a lingering presence rather than a fleeting moment. Through immersive luminous compositions, the project reflects on perception, memory and materiality, creating an intimate spatial experience in Milan.

Renaissance of the Real

At Fondazione Luigi Rovati, USM Modular Furniture and Snøhetta will present Renaissance of the Real, a multisensory installation by Annabelle Schneider exploring presence in an age of digital overload. Built around the USM Haller modular system, the space forms a breathing, cocoon-like structure of steel and soft textiles, combining architecture, sound, light and scent to create a deeply immersive sensory experience in Milan.

Drifting Lights

Preciosa Lighting will be presenting Drifting Lights at TEMPESTA Art Gallery in Brera, an immersive installation featuring sixty suspended glass panels activated through subtle 3D light mapping. Designed by Michael Vasku and Andreas Klug, the work will explore how shifting light, colour and reflection can shape mood and perception, creating a calm, contemplative spatial experience in Milan.

ULTRALIGHT: challenging matter through subtraction and perception

Karbony will present ULTRALIGHT at La Tenda Milano during Milan Design Week 2026, as part of La Tenda’s 6OLD programme ‘The Challenge’. The project explores subtraction as a design gesture, reducing carbon fibre into suspended, thread-like structures that appear to defy gravity. As light passes through, the material shifts between shadow and drawing, forming a minimal spatial composition in Milan.

Alcova

For its 11th edition, Alcova will return from 20–26 April 2026, unfolding across two striking sites in Milan. The first is the former Baggio Military Hospital, a vast green complex opening previously unseen spaces, while the second is Villa Pestarini, a private modernist residence opening to the public for the first time. Together, they create a dialogue between preservation and reinvention.

Together, these projects will define a city in motion, where design will extend beyond exhibition spaces and into streets, courtyards and unexpected corners. Each installation will contribute a different perspective, yet all will share a common intent: to turn space into experience and observation into participation.

Edra continues to build its identity around a deep exploration of comfort, material research, and the dialogue between innovation and craftsmanship. Founded in Tuscany, the brand has become known for collections that merge advanced technology with artisanal expertise, shaping a distinctive presence within contemporary furniture.

With its newest collection presenting at Salone del Mobile.Milano, the brand continues this trajectory, presenting updated interpretations that reflect evolving materials, finishes, and construction techniques. This ongoing dialogue between research and craftsmanship allows Edra to respond to contemporary living while preserving the distinctive character that has made its furniture enduring design icons.

et al.

Deep roots and a forward-looking vision define et al.’s 2026 collection, with Nuy by Marco Acerbis extending the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and human-centered design. The chair’s signature inverted “Y” ash wood frame creates a structural and symbolic foundation, while clean lines, visible joinery, and generous upholstery introduce a refined balance of precision and comfort. 

Alongside Nuy, the collection reflects et al.’s ongoing exploration of materiality, sustainability, and spatial presence, strengthening the brand’s identity with pieces that are at once bold, welcoming, and attuned to the future of living and working environments. “Placing a ‘new us’ at the centre means making the company’s values concrete: believe in its own identity, recognise hospitality as natural field and looking to the future with courage,” says Francesca Tonti, CEO of et al.

ATLAS CONCORDE

Atlas Concorde will showcase its expertise at Salone del Mobile, presenting Marvel Epic, a collection set to redefine surfaces as immersive, monumental elements that bring depth and character to any space. Curves redefine the iconic, Meridiani will present the René collection with new curved elements at Salone del Mobile.Milano, expanding the modular sofa’s creative and compositional possibilities. These sinuous modules soften the iconic collection’s solid volumes, allowing the sofa to flow like a double-sided sculpture that enhances any space with personality and poetic presence. Staying true to its Italian craftsmanship, Meridiani continues to combine timeless design, refined materials, and technical expertise, offering versatile collections that transform interiors into elegant, intimate environments for both residential and contract settings.

ABIMIS

At Salone del Mobile.Milano, Abimis showcases its mastery in blending industrial precision with artisanal craftsmanship through the new AlterEgo sideboard collection. Drawing inspiration from 1950s design, AlterEgo redefines functional elegance with bevelled flush doors, pivot hinges, and signature circular stainless steel handles. This collection embodies Abimis’ commitment to creating sculptural, tactile furniture that bridges kitchen and living spaces, offering a harmonious balance between timeless design, innovative materials, and meticulous construction quality.

VOLARE

Ulisse Narcisi will present a new vision of Volare for ARAN World, reimagining one of the brand’s most iconic kitchen systems. In this restyling, Volare will balance structural lightness with
elegant volumes, translating the company’s heritage into a contemporary and international perspective. Set to be previewed during Salone del Mobile.Milano at ARAN’s Milan Flagship Store, the updated Volare will explore the dialogue between material and form: natural oak base units and island elements will meet Taurus gres surfaces, creating a refined contrast between organic warmth and mineral strength. Handleless channels, titanium accents, and plinths will define a precise architectural rhythm, while subtle chromatic details in wall unit interiors will add a couture-inspired note to the everyday experience. Designed as an integrated system for open-plan and contemporary environments, Volare will maintain its signature elegance and versatility while offering a new interpretation of lightness and harmony. Through this evolution, ARAN World will continue to combine craftsmanship, innovation, and international design vision, presenting a kitchen that is both sculptural and functional.

TURRI

Turri will present B.E.L.T. at the fair, a collection that speaks the language of furniture by reinterpreting the iconic leather belt as a signature design gesture. The preview will highlight hand‑woven leather bands wrapping the sofa’s generous armrests, accented with a sleek buckle, creating a sculptural and collectible presence. This presentation aims to explore modular volumes, tailored edges, and integrated accessories such as the leather-covered coffee table, inviting feedback on how bespoke craftsmanship and contemporary elegance can shape future living environments.

ETHIMO

Ethimo will present Teodora at Salone del Mobile.Milano, a new outdoor armchair that combines comfort, craftsmanship, and refined design. Shaped from specially curved natural teak, Teodora embraces a woven Olive Green Rope Seat with rhomboid patterns that add depth and highlight Ethimo’s artisan expertise. Generous White bouclé cushions complete the ergonomic, sensorial experience, creating a piece that naturally supports the body while relaxing outdoors. Perfect for residential and contract settings, Teodora elevates outdoor living with elegance, character, and a distinctive sculptural presence.

This year, the kitchens seem to be evolving with open-plan layouts, interactive surfaces, and invisible induction hobs. Eco-friendly materials like FSC wood and recycled glass combine with smart systems that control lighting, temperature, and scent, creating adaptable, multisensory spaces. Despite innovation, kitchens remain rooted in tradition. UNESCO’s recognition of Italian cuisine as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity reinforces kitchens as spaces of memory, creativity, and conviviality. Italian companies respond with designs that celebrate identity while embracing global innovation. The large appliance sector is also advancing.

 At FTK, leading brands will unveil quieter, more integrated, autonomous devices. Fisher & Paykel’s Nature-Ritual installation will showcase its Minimal Style collection, reflecting the “Social Kitchen” philosophy. Visitors can explore modular ovens, smart refrigeration, integrated hoods, and multifunctional cooktops. The exhibition features sensory experiences, including a kawakawa tea ceremony, a sculptural monolith, and New Zealand wine tastings. Developed with Alt Group and Calvi Brambilla, it blends design, sustainability, and technology.

Also reflecting this shift, Ernestomeda will unveil Sign Round at the fair, which is an evolution of its iconic Sign kitchen by Giuseppe Bavuso. Soft curves and fluid lines create a relaxed link between kitchen and living spaces. The island’s wing-like snack table encourages social gatherings, while refined finishes and sustainable production ensure a considered, contemporary design.

Orbita by Snaidero

Snaidero will introduce Orbita as an additional component to its highly configurable Sistema Snaidero range. The heart of Orbita lies in its moving geometry, a system that allows the rotation of bases and columns by 20°, generating a new way of interacting with space.

Level by Falmec

The focus on kitchens as living, harmonious spaces continues with Falmec, presenting Mimesis, where ventilation integrates seamlessly into worktops, ceilings, and lamps. Circular forms symbolise balance, while materials blend aesthetics with function. The brand will be marking its 45th anniversary this year. Falmec will also present the Level collection, three downdraft extraction systems built into worktops. From Level One’s induction hob-extractor combo with Flex Surface and Chef Mode to the adaptable Level and fully concealed Level Invisible, these solutions combine power, efficiency, and minimalist style.

Nolte Küchen will highlight new materials and surfaces that blend aesthetics with practicality. Their enhanced matt lacquer concept will feature durable finishes and fresh colours, while the Nolteneo premium line focuses on architectural design and expressive materiality, seamlessly connecting kitchen, living, and adjacent spaces.

Latest presentations at EuroCucina 2026 will include natural and marble-effect materials like porcelain stoneware, composite quartz, and laminates. Known for elegance and durability, marble is perfect for countertops, splashbacks, and islands, offering resistance to heat, stains, and scratches. 

Scavolini will present Poetica, a modern kitchen system designed by Vuesse. Featuring a combination of stoneware, glass, and marble, the design includes an island with Maxidoor doors in Stopsol Acciaio glass and a Fusion White porcelain stoneware top. Wooden Rice Ash frame doors and Vertical System woodwork in Fusion White complete the look.

Febal Casa, in collaboration with Zaha Hadid Architects, will introduce Isola Onda, the focal point of the kitchen. With customisable worktops and sides, it offers a range of premium materials, including Gres, Abitum, Laminam, Neolith, Optimum, and Laminate, blending design with functionality.

Fuorisalone

Within the gardens of Villa Necchi Campiglio, Gaggenau’s presence offers an immersive experience during Milan Design Week. Light, shadow, and materials guide focus, with appliances blending seamlessly into the architecture. Visitors will experience how simplicity, balance, and design transform the kitchen into a calm, sophisticated space where every detail serves function and visual harmony.

In line with this evolution in design, Poliform is set to open a new showroom in Piazza della Scala, marking a bold shift for Milan Design Week 2026. The strategic location will strengthen the connection between architecture, interior design, and Milan’s urban landscape. The showroom will serve as a significant milestone in Poliform’s retail strategy, providing a space for design, experience, and relationship-building. Poliform’s participation in Milan Design Week 2026 will take shape as an autonomous chapter, enhancing the brand’s presence in Milan and opening new perspectives on the relationship between design, the city, and industry. 

As brands embrace new materials, smart systems, and sustainable practices, EuroCucina will once again prove to be the leading platform to showcase the future of kitchen design.
